This was my last e-mail out to everyone at Siperian. All confidential/sensitive info xxx’ed out of course 🙂
Hi everyone,
Today is my last day at Siperian and I wanted to say “So long and thanks for all the fish” and also to take one last opportunity to acknowledge all of the wonderful times and great relationships that I am leaving behind.
Specifically I would like to sincerely thank the following:
Peter for allowing me to lead product management and product marketing for Siperian and for his confidence entrusted in me to deliver xxx
- Ken or his inspirational vision and tireless efforts and for starting Siperian in the first place J
- Jeff for his incredible insights and sense of humor (loved the amazing race we had from NJ-NY-Boston)
- Fred and team for their confidence, collaboration and support on all that I had the honor of helping rollout
- Stan, Steve, Q, Zaheer, Michael and for their terrific efforts (lots of tough discussions that were always productive and good humored) always making me feel welcome (Donuts will once again be on me if I find myself back there!)
- Dmitri, Indu, Zoli, Eric, Manoj, Greg for the exciting times working on breakthrough new features and capabilities
- Jane, Anders, Ray and Jennifer for working w/Kala and I on gathering the right set of priorities and for supporting and maintaining critical content Joe , Sanjay and the support team for their contributions and embracing of xxx. With a special heartfelt thanks to Lesley H (and later Kala) for which we would not have been able to get the system so beautifully fine tuned and ready for launch
- Ron, Jeff (gracious support when I took over Product Management from him 4 yrs ago), Jeff (phenomenal customer relationships), Darius (unbelievable input and feedback from the field) more xxxs submitted than any single customer on his own!), Winston (for his terrific efforts at xxx, always the top rated draw) and for all the great best practices that have and will continue to go into xxx
- Jack, Vasu for their feedback with crucial requirements and design process for xxx
- Joe, Mercedes, Amy for their support and content into xxx
- Ahmed, Khoi, Shailesh and everyone for their feedback and patience as we rolled out new positioning and messaging to changing market landscape and competitive pressures over the years
- Scott, Christian, Randy, Steve, Danny and all the teams for their faith and confidence in allowing me to review and help their xxxs
- Greg, Tracy for their many rapid and late night turnarounds of critical docs, always with a can do attitude
- Rich, Thomas (helped us get our xxxx set up so fast) and Diego for their amazing responses to constant demands of equipment and setup
- Liz, Cheriese, Jeanette, Patty, Elena, Eric R, Liz, Syeffy for helping me with all my numerous Admin, HR, Accounts and payroll enquiries
Last but definitely not least, to a great marketing team:
- Alyce, Paul, Jeff, Chris and Rick and all those that are a big part of the team behind the covers that allow content, design and imagery to so seamlessly be made available for use in multiple mediums
- Nancy who’s collaboration, ideas and unique rapport w/customers and partners helped make the User Conferences so successful. I will miss the brainstorming and creative discussions
- Kathleen “nothing is impossible” to get delivered in a tight time frame and quality in all things she produces helps Siperian’s brand be what it is today
- Ravi for his collaboration and input into product marketing
- Glen for his tireless, can do, cheerful and dedicated efforts in leading xxx and also for his great product management work, collaboration in content prioritization and support of xxx
- Ravi for his amazing efforts which helped make us where we are today #1! For those of you who are wondering, he doesn’t actually sleep J
- Manish for giving me an incredible advantage of having my very own Siperian Tutor as an office mate when I first joined. His incredible knowledge, patience and support when we were a team of 2 (well 1.25 since he so amazingly was able to also single handedly save xxx and later was a big part of xxx’s success during this period). His knowledge, insights and vision are a big part of why we were able to accomplish so much, for which I am very proud. But most of all for his heartfelt friendship over the years
- Finally to Anurag who took a chance on me, and whose incredible guidance and mentorship has left me a far better marketer and manager over the last 4 years. I am constantly inspired and at the same time awed every time we have a discussion. Thank you so much, Anurag for your leadership and support.
My apologies to anyone I may have inadvertently left out, but as the Eskimo said to his wife at dinner time “Whale meat again?”
So I leave you physically, but not in spirit as I wish you all the success in the world. To a talented team who are destined for success I will miss you all.
I am excited for what the future holds for me, as my Grandfather always told me, there is an old Chinese proverb ….
