San Francisco

It's official. IBM has welcomed Synon as the first application development vendor to generate San Francisco-based applications.

The San Francisco Project is a set of JAVA based frameworks that a consortium of ISV's are creating, the first ever written in the Java development language -- that can be used to build business-critical multi-platform applications. Synon sits on the Advisory Council and will ensure that the frameworks will integrate with Obsydian. San Francisco is another example of IBM and Synon teaming to create advanced solutions for their customers.

Dear Rich,

Thank you for your commitment to the San Francisco commercial OO framework initiative. Welcome as the first premier tool vendor to commit to generate Java applications which incorporate and extend San Francisco.

IBM is excited that Obsydian's broad range of integrated application development facilities will be enhanced to generate San Francisco-based applications. Obsydian's business process and data modeling capabilities add a new set of choices to those supplied by traditional Java development environments. Obsydian's capabilities are very appropriate for the enterprise developers which San Francisco is designed to support.

We look forward to our continued close working relationship for the benefits of SYNON, IBM, and our mutual customers.

Sincerely,

Steven D. Ladwig
