Thanks everyone again for the enthusiastic response to my Tibco-Netrics post<\/a>. Given the feedback and number of readers to the article it’s like Rachel says in the sitcom Friends:<\/p>\n

“And hey, just so you know \u2014 it’s NOT that common, it DOESN’T happen to every guy, and it IS a big deal!”<\/em><\/p>\n

While Rachel was referring to another more sensitive matter, that statement could equally apply to MDM M&A. And any acqusition is a big deal. With a select list of best of breed vendors out there, as well as a few companies offering a full MDM solution we can do a little M&A speculation.<\/p>\n

So to make it interesting, I’m\u00a0giving away a new\u00a0Flip Video HD<\/strong> <\/a>to anyone who posts a comment at the end of this article AND correctly\u00a0guesses\u00a0the next MDM acquisition combo:
\nThe rules are:
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Both the acquirer and acquiree must be accurately stated PRIOR to the event via a comment on this blog post (this is the way to register\u00a0your guess)<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The guessor must NOT BE an employee of either acquirer and acquiree in their guess<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The\u00a0combo must come from the combination of the companies listed below (if you feel a company is missing that should be included in the lists, let me know and I will add it)\u00a0and listed in the form\u00a0“Tibco will acquire Kalido” (JUST AN EXAMPLE – but if you see my MDM vendor landscape diagram<\/a> you’ll see relationships with Netrics)<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Only one submission per person <\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If there are duplicate submissions from different guessors, the first one to have posted by date and time is the winner<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. You have to register to comment with your real email address (otherwise if you win I don’t know how to contact you to get you the Flip Cam)<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Judges (me) decision is final on who wins (if there is a winner). No arbitration requests or complaints please.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Thanks to Henrik Liliendahl S\u00f8rensen<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>who is a Practice Manager at Omikron Data Quality <\/strong>who was kind enough to send me these linkedin statistics on the location and employees of other match and DQ vendors<\/strong> who are still out there and waiting for “the call”. Quite a few of which I didn’t have in my MDM Landscape picture.
