Subject: Hot News Alert: MetaTV wins prestigous iMIX best of show award!

I am thrilled to report from iMIX in NYC that MetaTV has won the prestigous best of show award! The award recognizes excellence in the implementation of iTV applications. For those of you who don’t know, we submitted our E! Online iTV cross-platform TV Service up for the award.
There were 3 winners in total out of a group of 15 competitors – equally announced top 3 vote getters. The other 2 winners were ACTV and Spiderdance.
We beat out Chyron, ICTV, Liberate (and AOLTV), Media Logic, MicrosoftTV, NDS, OpenTV (and their play live football project), RespondTV (and their Purina Puppy Ad), Scientific Atlanta, Vertigo, Wink (CNN 24×7 application) and Worldgate.
This award represents tremendous validation and respect from the iTV community for MetaTV. The votes were from the attendees at the show, in effect the people who consider the technologies to be at the forefront of iTV.
Trermendous credit goes to the Lena and her TV services group with Matt and Darrell, and also Michelle R, Helen, Pat T, Daniel and others in engineering (hope I didn’t miss anyone) who did such a fantastic job on the project! Kudos to John Esrey and his team with Greg and Pete building and maintaining the E! Online relationship.
To leave nothing to chance, we created a flyer to help our cause here (See link) and canvased hard at our booth with Darrell, Ruth, Jim and Jeff leading the cry to “Vote MetaTV!” Hey this is an election year!
Once again, congratulations to everybody at MetaTV, we are now “award winning” in every sense of the word.
We’ll be bringing back the nice shiny plaque that we won!
